Randy Spalding of Randy Spalding Excavating bought the property south of the original lake in 2003; a new dam was built 3,000 feet downstream, more than 1,000,000 cubic yards of earth were moved, and the stepped concrete spillway uses V-shaped weirs, each step taking over 100 cubic yards of concrete.
