Lloyd (1926-1997), who was born in Nevada, Missouri and founded House of Lloyd, the Grandview-based direct-sales gift company behind 'Christmas Around the World'. 'Loch' is the Scottish word for a lake, chosen for the man-made lake at the center of the development - so the name is a pun on the developer's surname. source 1 source 2
